How does the Ampler repair process work?

We reply by email. If we can supply the part, the reply names it and the price. If the bike needs to come to Budapest, the reply gives the labour estimate and the instructions. If the repair involves a battery, our reply will also detail whether that pack can travel, as batteries require dangerous-goods shipping.

How should I pack my bike if it needs to be shipped to your workshop?

Wait for the approval email before you pack or ship. That email says whether we want the bike, how to pack it, and which carrier to use. Do not post a battery until that email says the pack can travel.

Are proprietary Ampler parts available?

Some faults need a proprietary part. Some can be repaired on the original board or pack in Budapest. The reply says which, and the price. A part is sold only when we can ship it. If we cannot supply it or repair it, we say so before any payment.

Are these repairs covered under my original Ampler warranty?

The old Ampler warranty stays with Ampler in the bankruptcy. Blurby does not take it over. Parts and labour from Blurby are paid by the owner. Any guarantee on the work we do is written on the quote.

Can I fix my Ampler bike myself if you just send the spare part?

Absolutely. If your local bike mechanic is doing the work, or if you know exactly what is broken, just select “I need a replacement part shipped to me” in the form above. If that part is one we can send, we email a payment link and ship it to you or to your shop. If we cannot supply it, we say so, and we do not take the money.
